Greek Orthodox Silver 950 crystal Byzantine Icon Virgin Mary Plaque

This is a striking "True Copy" of a Byzantine-era holy image, beautifully crafted by ALARCO. It features an intricately detailed 950 Silver riza (cover) surrounding the hand-painted faces of the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ.

The icon is securely mounted on a heavy, luxurious black crystal base with a smooth, glossy glass-like finish. As certified by the original studio label on the reverse, the backing is made of engraved crystal from Studio N 24, giving the piece a substantial weight of 890 grams and a highly elegant presentation. Includes a pre-drilled hole for easy wall hanging.

Condition: The icon is in excellent pre-owned condition. The silverwork is crisp, and the painted elements are vibrant. The polished glass-like crystal backing is clean with a beautiful shine. The original factory label is present on the reverse, showing some standard age/storage wear. Please carefully review all provided photographs as they serve as an extension of this description.
