A museum-quality,  hand-painted antique Byzantine icon depicting the Virgin Mary tenderly embracing the infant Jesus (Eleusa / Sweet Kissing iconography). This exceptional sacred piece of art is a true collector's item, hand-crafted with rich pigments and traditional technique on a solid wood block.

The icon is original and historic, clearly hand-signed and dated 1923 in the lower right corner along with the Greek initials "π χ". It features stunning traditional gilding, vivid colors, and a rich, natural craquelure finish developed over more than a century of sacred history.

The reverse side is wrapped in deep luxury red velvet, preserved in remarkable condition for its age and ready for display in any high-end collection or devotional space.
