A beautiful, very old Orthodox folding travel diptych featuring a deep red wooden casing and brass-toned hinges. When opened, it reveals two iconic representations: Jesus Christ (Pantocrator) holding the Gospel on the left panel, and the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child on the right.

The central figures are detailed prints (please note, this piece is not fully hand-painted), beautifully framed by highly textured, embossed metal borders (oklad/riza style) that add a striking dimensional contrast to the artwork.
